Brody Takes on the National Startup Forum 2023 I MiniBoss Australia

Shortly after creating Ultra Zips boardshorts in 2020, Brody joined MiniBoss, a global business program for kids and teens passionate about entrepreneurship. Through hands-on training and mentorship, MiniBoss helped Brody develop his ideas, grow his business, and gain real-world experience.

In 2023, Brody reached a major milestone by earning his third MiniBoss certificate. This achievement highlights his dedication to building his business and making a difference with his adaptive clothing brand.

That same year, Brody traveled to Brisbane to take part in the MiniBoss National Championships. He pitched Ultra Zips to a panel of judges, showcasing how his business solves real-world problems through social innovation. He also ran a market stall, where he introduced his products and shared the story behind his brand.

This was Brody’s first live forum, and while it was nerve-wracking, he embraced the challenge. Presenting alongside peers in the Social Sage category, Brody left a strong impression on the judges, including successful entrepreneurs like Shark Tank Australia host Steve Baxter and Culture Kings CEO Simon Beard.

One of the most rewarding aspects of MiniBoss has been the friendships Brody has built over three years. Meeting fellow young entrepreneurs in person and sharing the experience of learning and growing together has been inspiring and motivating.
